I bought a horse! I’m really excited about him, and I’ve been waiting so long for this. As soon as I saw him I knew he was special.

So everybody, meet Sir! He is a 3.5 year old registered Appaloosa, but his dad is a QH. I’m pretty certain he is a perlino, and he is 15.2 hands. I bought him at auction 3 weeks ago, and he apparently has about 45 rides, however I would’ve guessed less by riding him. His name isn’t 100% official yet, so suggestions welcome! It took about 2 weeks for his papers to get to me, so I had no idea what his name was and I started just calling him Sir. Funny thing though, when his papers came I found out that his name is actually Threewinds Sir Eric.

This thread will hopefully be a little training progress journal, and a place to dump pics. Thanks for reading!

Trick from a cattle trader with auction stickers... charcoal lighter fluid in a plastic qt type bottle... the kind you squirt on charcoal... squirt it on under the paper, on the glue/paper stuck on the hair..pull gently and squirt more... use a curry comb once you get the paper off, and a few squirts on the glue stuck in the hair.... work the sticky glue off like you would a real muddy clump. The little amount of the charcoal lighter fluid you actually use will not kill the animal or anything... it will mostly dry (alcohol based) and not cause any problems.... it dissolves the glue bond.
