I have to agree with the group here. Many rabbits are farm raised for meat and would fit in here.

Anyone out there with rabbits, please chime in so we know there is somebody out there with some rabbit knowledge. Otherwise this potential new section will be the blind leading the blind.

I am getting the needed equipment for rabbits. I just bought a nice stacking cage. Our county fair is in two weeks, and I'm hoping to purchase some rabbits that people have shown before they go to the auction barn.

I could help out with the rabbit section.

I'm pretty versed with all aspects EXCEPT the butchering part.
So in other words, I wouldn't be helpful in explaining how to finish, but could probably point ya in the right direction.

How about adding an "organic" or "natural" post area in the General Herds section for those who want to discuss herbal remedies or a natural way of caring for animals?

How about putting the word "Rabbits" in all the titles in the rabbit section so I don't mistakenly post questions about my does (goats!) in a rabbit discussion again! No one caught the "she should reach 80 pounds" bit, either!

And a HUGE to the idea of an organic/herbal health section so we can have the discussions without fear of reprisal.
