Hi guys,
We got three bunnies right now, going to have to take out the male soon. I have like 4 parrot cages right now... I used to breed them. I'm not seeing why I couldn't use a parrot cage for the rabbits. Any reason not to?
Thanks
Rhonda

It depends on the kind of bird cage.

Most of the large parrot cages I've seen have much more vertical space to them-excellent for a climbing bird, not so great for a ground-dwelling rabbit.

The spacing on the bars may also be wrong. If there are bars on the floor they're probably set too wide to be good for the rabbit's feet, and the bars on the cage itself might be big enough for them to get their heads through-which could lead to broken necks.

Thanks RabbitMage,
Your right, I could probably change the bottom. Maybe I'll try to sell the cages I have and use the money for another hutch :)
Have a great day.
