Hi, I'm new to the goat world.:) I got him from an auction out of a pen that was tagged pygmy. the other kid I got with him is a Lamancha or mix(white one).they are supposed to be 2-3 months old, but I really don't know. so I'm hoping that this lill guy is pygmy or dwarf. I have a 3 and a 4 year old does that never been bred. see my direction.these are all pets. we live on I think 3/4 acre lot , so I need to keep the goats on the small side. any info you have or guesses please chime in. thank you everyone.

I'm not to good wih goat breeds yet but I really don't think he is a Pygmy. His ears and body shape are wrong, first thing I thought was Nubian or Boar mix but that could be wrong. His ears look exactly like my nubian boar cross goat.

Does that black one have long ears? It looks like he has long ears. The white one is definitely a LaMancha mix. His ears are too long to be a pure LaMancha. If They are 2-3 months old, then they will be full size dairy goats. If they are possibly mixed with pygmy, then they won't be quite as large as a full size but will definitely be bigger than a dwarf.

If the black one has long ears, then he is some type of Nubian or Boer mix.

I'm going with a strong nubian influence in the black one.. The black could be either Boer or Nubian, but he's got brown on his belly and his legs...reminds me of common Nubian patterns.

He's not pure, though...his face is dished. I'm gonna say he's at least 3/4 Nubian crossed with....I dunno...Alpine, Togg, Saanen...something with a dish face. His ears lay down too well, I think, to be a 50/50, though..

I don't see any reason to suspect any pygmy/dwarf in him. His frame looks like that of a full-sized dairy.

The horns would seem to suggest he's somewhere in the 3 month range, but that's pretty variable..

I expect he'll be a big ol' goat. Sorry if that's bad news.. :(
