With the eye discharge did you check for pinkeye? It is prevalent in late summer dog days when the winds pick up the dust here. Dairy goats always got it in September right after LA County Fair. I would routinely dose them when we came home from the Fairgrounds. Before we could get antibiotics for pinkeye (years ago) a cheap and effective treatment was to buy the cheapest Burgundy you could find and wash out the eyes a couple times a day for about a week. Whatever was in the dark red wine got rid of the pinkeye although the goats would look like they had pink stains on their faces for about a week after treating them. LOL
