We live on 10 mostly wooded acres in the Appalachian foothills. We have a few sketchy patches of grass (using that term loosely). We’d like to encourage them to expand, so we can support a couple of grazing animals better.
This photo shows a section of “grass” that is growing lushly. The rabbits seem to enjoy it, and we were wondering if sheep would too. If so, we would like to continue encouraging it to expand as much as possible.
So, I guess, two questions-
1. ID on this plant
2. If it is a good one, how to encourage it.
Thanks!
