They're very very old work boots filled with soil. I stuff a random bedding plant into them in the spring. They've sat there so long they are deeply covered in moss.

Snowed on about an hour past this moment. Turned into a real postcard winter wonderland for a while there. Then changed to rain & washed almost all of it away.
Windshield wipers up & hoping I don't have to scrape ice in the morning after work.

3am & my 'usual' coffee time

Tonight was to be my one night off this week. I got a call at nearly 11:30pm from my mgr telling me that 'they' have decided to have Donavan start back on his shift alone after all.
I call BS.
All the managers were there when I left this morning (yesterday morning) and had ALL DAY to make this decision/change. But I get notified 6hrs after their day ended that things changed? If it's coming from Donavan not wanting help, that's fine. If it's coming from them deciding they'd rather not pay the overtime... that's BS.
And.... I was counting on that overtime.
Oh well. I'm getting my nights off back & there's a lot of plans for the farm that I can start on if the rain holds off.


Edited to add.... it is POURING rain right now!!!! The pounding on the roof & the AC is loud. Maybe my unexpected day of will be cleaning house instead

I’ve been inside the past two days. I took it as a couple of days of rest, but I did do laundry, stripped the bed, took refrigerator shelves out and washed them, cleaned floors.

Rain usually means inside house for me. Now & next 2 months it's inside stores, working. It's heavy reset season. Yeah, I'm hitting OT !! Helps make up for so much "no work" time Nov-Jan.
