Castrate a buck during rut season.

Ok, so i have been saying Snorticus my pygmy is maybe a wether I really now doubt that, he had his face crusty and covered with thick layer of pee, so I really don't want him to be my breeding buck I want my other calmer one to be, sooo
How do I castrate him, band him whatever?
His little sac is not big maybe the size of a racket ball?
Does it matter if it's starting to be rutting season?
I have read about using a castrating band for a calf but I don't think they're that big.

Feel his scrotum, there should be two testis in there of normal size, if there aren't you need a vet, he could have one held up in his body, and that testi can give all of the symptoms you are seeing.
