Why are they doing this?!?

My sheep are 10 months old now and I have raised them from day 1. When they where new they loved to jump on hay and on my back but lately they have been jumping over fences, my brother(really short) and over the tempo door that we are using until we get a. Actual door for their barn entrance. Since we lock them in every night it is hard when we find them roaming around in our backyard at 6:00 am when I am trying to get to school on time. We have been doubling our fences all week but why are they doing this and how can I stop them?

Why? Because they are goats!

They love to jump. They're young. Put some logs, benches big wire spools, etc, in their field -- not near a fence! -- for them to play on. Increase fence height.

Your lucky they haven't damaged vehicles yet. On hood, then roof, slide down windshield wheee, What fun!!! You can't stop them, just better containment needed.

They've probably found tasty morsels to browse in yard. Some bushes are toxic, so watch. Goats are incredibly smart. They won't forget how they got out & will go at it again.

Your fence is too low. There is something called sheep and goat panels. 4plus a gate, t-posts to hold them up and you have a pen they can’t get out of.
