CD&T before kidding ??

One of my alpines is exactly 3 weeks away from her due date. She's getting really big and is starting to develop an udder. This is her 3rd freshening. When I got her, her previous owners said she had never seen a vet, and they preferred to do everything naturally. I don't know what that means. I haven't done any vaccinations for her, but have been reading that she needs CD&T about a month before she kids.

1. Am I too late?

3. If that's not right, where can I order the right thing?

No that is the ANTITOXIN. You need TOXOID when vaccinating. Look for bar vac cdt. Usually you can find it at any feed or farm store... tractor supply, southern states, farmers coop, jeffers, pipevet, valley vet, etc.

The anti toxin is used when treating the disease.

and no its not too late to vaccinate, there probably just won't be as many antibodies from the cdt in the colostrum.

Thanks! I'm pretty sure my local feed store doesn't have it (maybe just out right now?), so I ended up ordering some from Caprine Supply.

OK, so I received it and gave Clementine (the one due in a couple weeks) a dose today according to the bottle. Gave it SQ in her armpit. She didn't even flinch, which was nice.

Do I give some to the babies at some point as well? 2 ml, like mom?
Do I give her another dose in 21 days, per the bottle?
Can I keep the bottle in the fridge for later use? (The bottle says use it all up once you open it. I bought a 25-dose bottle, since my other doe is due in July.)
