The bottle of CD&T says to use the entire contents when first opened, but doesn't it last for the booster shot in a month? I have always saved the bottle and used the same stuff for the booster shot a month after first using it and then I throw it away. I just noticed the warning, "use entire contents when first opened", today :hide . Have I just been really lucky? Should I use new bottles every time from now on? Or do you think it's it okay to use it twice?

I think the makers of the vaccination are worried about stuff like contamination, and are playing things safe. A lot of people reuse the same needles on different animals to draw out the medication. Which makes me cringe a little, personally. If you use a new, sterile needle and new, sterile syringe each time, and wipe down the rubber cap with some rubbing alcohol before drawing, then you're good.

We keep it refrigerated and just use it up before the expiration date and haven't ever had any problems.
