I

The horse is visited by hogs who lack the manners to cover it when they’re done. It’s out of sight and my dogs feel compelled to pop over the fence and pee on it. Then they stroll leisurely to neighbor’s pond and have a swim. They have their own pond but nope. Thanks for the Dr referral. I’m trying rest and weight loss. Too many hobbits in my family tree to make that easy but I have good motivation ;) My place is very hilly, a big change from the previous ranch. I fear the Indian summer I enjoyed health wise is about over. I hope not. Well that was gloomy. The knee is a bit better. Steady as she goes Captain.

Shoot the hogs! Neighbors probably wouldn’t like that.

All the cartilage was gone in my knee, was grinding bone on bone. I’m delighted with my new knee! Another tip, I used Arnicare cream on my leg. Not supposed to get it in an open wound so I rubbed it on both sides of incision and everywhere it hurt and was bruised. I took the Arnicare pills for pain. Had hydrocodone, only took 7 of them over 3 weeks. Arnicare didn’t kill all the pain, but made it bearable.
I used Arnicare a lot on my knee before surgery, it helped.

Okay, Perdue not Pilgrim's... it was a "P" name... Sorry, It was just a blip on the radio and I haven't been able to find anything more....
This morning I see this blurp...

Tyson Foods is closing two facilities that employ more than 1,600 people in an effort to streamline its U.S. poultry business.

The company said Tuesday it plans to close its processing, broiler and hatching operations in Glen Allen, Virginia, and a plant in Van Buren, Arkansas. Both closures are scheduled for May 12.

company said it will work with its 692 employees in Glen Allen and its 969 employees in Van Buren to apply for open positions at other plants.

Now I'm wondering...just how many plants are there and closing???😵‍💫 Two? Three? Daunting, for sure! Companies of this size are tightening their belts, which means the everyday family should be. It's gonna get tougher economically everywhere.

Hatcheries say they can't keep up with demand. So this year, TP seems safe -- but people are still buying seed to garden, jars & lids for canning, now chicks for meat and eggs! At least some people are planning.

This is what happens when you are up and out of bed waaay too early. :caf finding something to do 🥱🥴

Still dark. Been up since 3, it's now 6am. I'll be ready for a nap about the time I should be at work at a store😡. Surely not gonna be a fun day. Glad coffee is tasty, gonna need the whole pot today 😁🥱

Just turned 6 AM here, you are 1 hour ahead of me. Dark outside and 32F degrees. I didn’t turn on the central heat last night, it was 54F in the house when I got up. I’ve got the propane heater on now and it’s warming up. After this it will start getting warmer, 48 for a low tonight than lows in the 50’s and 60’s.

I’m going to be a guest speaker on @The Old Ram-Australia , Frank Eagan’s radio show today at 5 PM Central time. It will be 10AM Tuesday morning in Australia. He’s going to call me on my cell phone. Service is sketchy out here, so I’ll go to my sons house, 12 miles away, there is a cell tower in the pasture next to it. I’ll be the first USA guest for the radio station.

Braidwood 88.9 Facebook FM radio station.

I haven’t heard about any poultry processing companies closing any facilities near here. Pilgrim’s Pride has a facility in Lufkin that employs a lot of people.

Get a ceramic egg, they make them very realistic and even get the weight really close. The chicken doesn't like pecking the hard egg so less likely to continue eating the real eggs.
One of DW's patron's loaned her a ceramic egg. Daisy tossed it out of her makeshift nest ASAP.

It’s not going to get better. It will continue to get worse and restrict your activities. Go get it fixed, you’ll be glad you did.
Listen to the voice of experience!!
