A back to work day -- thought since it was going to 98 + feel like, inside in AC would be ok. Store I had scheduled had no AC!. Yep, workers were there replacing all 7 roof units...saying 2 day job. Did a couple hrs of small jobs and moved that 12 hr one to Monday. Hope tomorrow's store is cool -- same 12 hr reset for them. Surprises everywhere. Thought I'd be home all week next week, but now 1 day of work. Shuffle it around!

Filled everything with fresh cool water this morning. Had to dump what was still there -- in smaller tubs -- when I got home at 2, it was bath warm. Refilled cool. Thankful for a deep well!! Felt refrigerated compared to air temps.

We're blessed with 97-100 all week. Glad they all have shade! The taller, thick pasture grass is cool to lay in, too.

a ram lamb! And he's fuzzy -- looks like Stripe's wool is dominant.
Sipping coffee and watching from the house - love the little Blink cameras around the ranch.

Coffee is ready. Going to get feed this morning. That means I’ll have to come home and unload it. Boo. I guess that’s what is called sweat equity.

Coffee brewing, just a few minutes more. Slept until 7 and it felt good. Yeah, it was nice. Check water tubs, count noses, off to work.

This morning -- no sleeping in -- up at 5 Got up to stop flopping around! Balmy 77 out, going to upper 90s with heat advisory of 105-110 thru Sun. Yep, summer is definitely here!

Amazon delivered another truck part yesterday...and 2 of 4 bags of fence insulators . What's up with that? Plenty of room in the box for other 2. And the ones with long metal base, not coming until Sunday. Really stretches my finishing the hot wire but cost less and metal ones not available locally. So, I work around it...do what I can with these. New car window regulator is in shipment, too. Plastic still working . It's been a month of torturous waiting for several things to finish. Maybe my sleep times will improve when things are all done.

At least all the goats were where I left them when I got home yesterday!! HOT wired in their fields...or my back yard. I'll be SO happy when the other pasture wiring is completed.

Today I need to get diesel for the tractor and a big bag of cat food. A trip to the feed store is needed but I need my truck finished!!! Hard to get much with the car. Maybe I'll borrow DGD truck for an hr or so

Right now, refill my coffee cup. Roosters are crowing

My alarm was set for 5, but I snoozed. I’ll work around here today until it gets too hot. I’m so done with summer, but it’s not done with me.

Up at 4, out the door by 5 - had to open this AM. The scale house is so quiet & pleasant today.
@Mini Horses I wish I was closer & could help with the fencing. I've got a BUCKET of those plastic, wood post, extended insulators you could use!

Yeah, I had a bucket of them....not enough! Plus 2 buckets for t-posts. Add those already out there. There's a LOT of fence here. The old ones cost half what same do now. . Like everything!!

Up early, made coffee then in on computer. Still have to go pour the first cup. Back in a sec.

Aaaagh! Coffee. Planning to paint DS1's bedroom today. He went back early so it is a good time to do it with no complaints and stuff in the way. Only thing in room is the bed and I will cover that with drop cloth. I have the paint for walls and trim so good to go after washing the walls with TSP.
