I woke up at 3 AM. On second cup of coffee. I hate it when I wake up at stupid hours.

I do the same. Up early.. know better than to sit down to 'enjoy' the early start because I'll loose track of time and end up LATE. Just went ahead with my usual routine, enjoyed the sunrise drive to work & ended up clocking in 30mins early.

Up later than planned last night but tired and went to sleep soon as I climbed into bed. Woke and back to sleep at that 2-3 time, finally up at 6:30 -- when I got a call that friend is picking figs for me -- when can I come get?
My fav summer treat...my eggs to them, their figs to me trade
. I dehydrate them and cherish every bite! When eggs were "bank loan" expensive, if available, they were well supplied 
I'll take her some fresh goat cheese, too.
Her garden fried this year -- no matter efforts. I didn't get one in either. Weather too wet, too dry, too hot.
. We're both saying, maybe some fall stuff?? But both of us had extra put up from last year. 
So I'm deciding about my day & what has to happen beyond chores. Need another cuppa! Not thinking beyond "now"
that needs to stop. I did walk onto porch and found low humidity and temps...mid 60s. Very nice but, surely short lived. 
Found a "mini round baler" on CL. Tempting. May go look late week, 2 hrs off. Waiting on some answers for questions I had of seller. It's a pricey commitment -- will think hard on it -- my own use, my time, storage, etc. Won't jump into unless it's valuable enough for me to use & have pay back.
I need that 2nd cup! Y'all have a great day.

Fen let me sleep in until 6:30!!! Then he woke me up with sweet kisses. He’s been so sweet lately. I can’t account for the change in him but I’m grateful not to be buying skivvies from him first thing in the morning!

Up 5 ish today - got the sheep out, made breakfast sandwiches and had a cuppa. It's cloudy out - thank God - that'll keep the blazing sun at bay for awhile. Stitches in my arm come out today - yay! It'll be good not to have to wrap it, and maybe a good itching

Yesterday one of our neighbors came over with two of his grands (ages 8 and 5?) sweet cute kids. They got to pet the lambs and hold one. Fun for everyone, and the mama sheep were pretty easy going about it.
@Mini Horses -- thanks for the reminder - time to go check our figs! I've been watching and checking but haven't in a few days
they are ready. Everything this year seems to be about a month behind. My garden though - wow, it's the best I've ever had. ~Maybe it's all the shredded alfalfa I put on it last fall when the sheep were being too picky.
