On my second cup of coffee. Not supposed to rain today. Supposed to be sunny today and tomorrow, rains come back Thursday and Friday, then 4 days of sunshine. I think I’ll graze the ewes and lambs in the yard again.

Sitting at Veterinary Specialty Hospital-
Obi will be staying the night getting antivenom. I didn’t see it, but he found it - rattlesnake bite. Two small punctures not much swelling so far, but the blood smear told the rest of the story.
Ree may have had an encounter as well - didn’t notice any swelling until we were about to leave with Obi for the ER Vet. She is being looked at now.

Hope the poor feller pulls through, I've noticed our snakes are now out, found two nice size gopher snakes so far and few grass snakes but no rattlers yet.
Hitting 70's today, wife is pouring the coffee right now and Pooch gave us a rare early morning alarm. Didn't see what it was, though whatever it was he was hiding under his house.

@SageHill ... Oh, NO! Prayers for Obi & hope Ree is ok, not bitten. Obi is like "our" dog, as we've been living his life.

Today, almost time to leave for work. Expecting rain. Estimates of 1/4 to 1". Today, I'd like the 1" of rain on the newly planted garden! Please . It'll help those seed pop...and save me watering time Right now there's a lot of bare ground with little stakes & string, everywhere. Still need to plant beets, for me & mangels for goats. First try for mangels here but enough seed for now & fall. Pumpkins going in next month, in a renovating pasture. Lots of fall pasture feed type greens, grasses, etc. for there, too. Hope the deer don't find it first. Plenty of them here.

I have enough seed for several families!! Trying to test & use the older stuff. Still need to do a patch of flower types -- a spot that I just toss seed, then transplant from. And I have a section for a bunch of sunflowers to plant up. Seed type & color/bouquet type. After the corn sprouts, I'll put a few banana squash seed amongst it. See the animal feed stuff?

Obi update:
He did ok with the antivenin, blood work is good, clotting is perfect he’s coming home as soon as we go get him .
Ree is going back in for a recheck possibly blood work - swelling still there and the skin of he throatlatch is hanging down some not swollen there just loose skin and seems like fluid. Thinking it’s draining from her muzzle?? Dunno
Sleepless night - constantly checking Ree, and waiting for texts on Obi - sent to DH whose phone was on do not disturb instead of me.

Ree’s blood work looked great. Probably dry bite. Obi and Ree coming home and a few days rest for Obi. Trimming hooves will have to wait.

I had a horrible night with hubs gasping for breath every so often. I pulled his pillow three times; punched his arm once. It went on for an hour. Then he snored again...Yes, he's going in for another sleep apnea test soon - ordered by the neurologist.

As one who has had sleep apnea for over 30 years:
1) I'm glad he is going to get checked. "Again" sounds odd since the symptoms are pretty solid. I guess the test wasn't conclusive. Overnight in a sleep center I presume?
2) You could be a bit more sympathetic Hopefully he will get proper treatment and neither of you will have to suffer anymore.

Maybe not actual clarity. The comic was clearly meant to be funny but it is not factual. The people are not protesting in support of Hamas, in fact I suspect they are very much anti Hamas, but in support of the hundreds of thousands of Gaza based Palestinians who are suffering Israel's response to the horrific attack by Hamas on the 1,200 innocent Israelis.

It's raining. Today, that's good. Wanted it for my JUST planted garden job of yesterday. Makes me happy to see rain not hard but, steady. Goats not as happy as me supposed to be scattereds until about daybreak. I work again tomorrow. Scattered late tomorrow. Thur/Fri cloudy but Sat/Sun more rain. Soooo.....Thur/Fri needs to be cardboard & mulch day!!!

Gardens are a lot of work!! But chem free food. . With the deposits the goats & minis left there, oughta grow!
