Coffee is ready. I fell asleep in my recliner before The Voice was over, woke up after 10. Went to bed, eyes flew open, was past 2 AM before I fell asleep again. Running a little late here. Sunny day, got some things to do outside before the rains start. I made cornbread dressing yesterday, all it needs now is thaw, heat up and serve. Getting excited for the weekend. Gonna be a party! Making pie crust today or tomorrow.

Not the best morning here. Power company trimmed trees. It had to be done but what was a quarter mile of beautiful birches at the front of my property is now a mess of scalped trunks and stumps. More light on that patch means nuisance vegetation will show up and need maintenance. And I can’t turn the sheep out today because - are they done? What fences did they take down? Did they put them back? Are they chipping the trimmings? I knew this was an eventuality but damn. A silly thing to complain about. :rantLamb born last night. Doesn’t look like a Racka. Ram boys harassed the ewe til I put her and her baby in the dog run to overnight. Never a problem with Crockett on duty. Well the new normal marches on. Over my toes. Tomorrow’s another day Scarlett etc. :tongue:tongue:tongue

Out grazing. Coyote ears appeared on at the top of the hill. Sigh - I was low, told dogs stay, and it took off. Too close for comfort, glad it took off but I would've rather added a little sting to it to reinforce the get outa' Dodge . Such is life. Yeah, I could send the boys after the beast, 'tis not in their wheelhouse and I don't need any more emergency vet trips.
