Coffee anyone ?

It's what I do daily here to make sure the pigs have water, 10 to 15 gallons a day through ice and snow, grab a pipe and bust a hole in the ice for the birds in their 1100 gallon pond.
Supposed to drop a foot of snow starting today onto Friday and not stop snowing till Sunday here. Might drop another bale in on Saturday if I can get the loader to crank up in such cold temperatures. If not I guess one pitch fork at a time.

And that’s why I keep my southern self in Texas. If we have a Snowmeggdon, at least it only lasts a week or two. And we don’t have it all winter, every stinking year! Phooey!

Winter is here, feel like of 29 out there staying this way or cooler for a while. Do not like winter cold! Even mentioning the "s" word on TV weather -- we got a light dusting '23, a few flakes in air '24, so we're having a "snow drought" . Geesh, keep it up! We don't do snow very well in these parts

3:30 woke up...tossed...got up. Now I'm ridiculous.

Chores in the cold - YUCK!

Tues night/ Wed morn at work were tough & I'm sore this AM. But there are things that I need to check off 'The List'. I don't like working in the cold - it makes all the hurting bits stiffer & sore-er - but if I hope to be ready for the busy spring & summer I must get out there.

Virginia is not a southerner state as some like to believe they are, more of east coast. Never got why some consider it as such. After Tennessee and North Carolina its Eastern/ NE states.

Battered ewe in chicken area. Chickens who wouldn’t use hen house are outraged. Ewe is eating the sparse green grass, feed and hay. She appears to be blind. Racka attacked Caddo and is generally irritable. I’m working on an area for the young rams which means moving a well imbedded cattle panel and shoring up some pipe panels to make a separate stall in the barn. Hubbs is back and also irritable. No funeral for FIL which has the family commenting. MIL didn’t want one and her wishes come first. Others can gather as they wish. She’s in good spirits considering and getting set for the weather. Neighbors are checking in. She is determined to stay put.

Come on, where's your sense of adventure? Now they up the ante to over a foot deep worth of snow. We get twice as much as what they predict up here due to elevation where we live.
