Went out for anniversary dinner last night. I ordered the "Heritage Porkchop" -- It was DEELISH - I mean the best ever. So of course I had to ask "...what breed?" (thinking yeah right the regular diner asks this ha ha ha) it was Mangalica -- OMG it was the best. $$ but now I know. LOL should've asked if they were interested in local lamb!!
Was a member of the 3:30 club - but then I thought heck that's nothing 'cuz the rest of you all were either at 5:30 or 6:30 so what the heck was I going to complain about .
Got a notice from the power company, they may be shutting power down Monday-Wednesday -- "severe wind event". I'd rather they shut things down than wait and see. Is it a pain - heck yeah, but it sure beats the alternative. We choose to live here so we have to bow down to Mother Nature as needed.

They could always put the lines underground, but that would make too much sense.

Actually they are - with all there is it's a huge job but it's ongoing. This is something that they have been doing since the Witch Creek and Cedar fires ('02 and '07). That and also replacing old wood poles with metal poles. LOL if this was LA county nothing like this would be done. SDG&E learned from those fires and of course the associated litigations. They are very pro-active, thank God. It's not a cureall, because it happens, but they are ahead of the game compared to LA. And - the water company is routinely replacing underground pipes before things break. Pain when they work a section for miles because it snarls traffic on our 2-lane twisties - but that's life.
