Yeah... I swapped out the tires on Friday... put the snow melt into storage...

It snowed today.

But then it switched from snow to rain... the resulting slush looks like it will all vanish, at least from walk ways etc...

So... I didn't take the ice melt back out.
When I was growing up in Connecticut we had studded snow tires, but they had to be removed by April 15th. I recall snow falling in early May.

Don't bother with snow tires, studded tires, winter tires or summer tires, just get some M/T 10 ply tires and run'em year around. Told by one neighbor who thinks they know it all that doesn't live here full time that A/T are best so they don't sling up bigger rocks hitting the vehicle. I beg to differ, have two chips in my windshield from regular highway steer tires, not even M/T tires on my truck.

Coffee is ready. It’s 42 and windy with high of 64 today. Texas is clear, the storm is moving east, Kentucky will be clear this late afternoon, the east coast is getting hammered.

Turned on news, Amarillo got 2” of snow. Freeze warnings for north and northeast Texas. But moisture is clearing out.

Cooler here today...may hit 70. Also raining. Light, off & on, all day. Winds gone. Last day home, had a week of hot & very windy. Not very productive but, had a rested week. I'll go by one of the stores being renovated, later today. Need to see if they'll be "ready" for my work scheduled for tomorrow, in case I need to switcharoo jobs. 🤔

Hayed up barn racks yesterday eve, knowing rain was coming. Should be a break noonish, so I can refill for heavier stuff later. How convenient! 😁 Big job today is getting rid of 7 dz eggs.

Figured out how to brew with a new coffeemaker at work, a gift from one of the faculty. One side brews, the other takes K-cups. I'm not impressed, it left coffee grounds all over the water spraying mechanism. There's no way to detach it for cleaning. Way to go

Storms are forecast to arrive this afternoon.
