Hit 18°F and has past few nights here. We will be hitting single digits come Sunday night. The fight against frozen water has started and between everything breaking and overladen with work, we are out of water for the house.
Need to unload the 5 ton to get water, to unload the 5 ton need backhoe, to use the backhoe there can't be any snow on the ground which there is. Another way is to use the loader that is miles down the road blocked by a broken down dump truck. Snow on the ground means the backhoe slides sideways trying to flip when moving it across the hills.
Not a easy life here.

Sipping on first cup. Brewing makes the kitchen smell so good. It's a cold 33 before wind chill🥶🥶I'm just not mentally prepared for the coldness, which I truly dislike! You guys north, you like it or at least tolerate. I bitxxh & moan all winter -- and I'm even in a "mild" weather area. Old, cold and honest.

I made sure hay bins were full last night, so they have that going on.👍 Means I'm not needing to rush out. Do need to go pick up a load of nice looking Alf/orchard this morn. Went & picked it yesterday but, had forgotten to grab a way to pay😱 before leaving home. Soooo, back this morn with trailer, since this much will not fit into a truck. Hope goats like it, I did and popped for prices. These are 70# bales. No, won't unload, just park in shed & carry from it. Mower & cart to transport. 😊 This is smaller of 2 open trailers. So it'll just leave the big one for any other needs, plus horse trailer. That's fine.

🤪🤔 Bill, handling, time...make chicken care look good!!
