We were formerly forecast to get a rough rain/storm system today also. So far, it's stayed north and east of us. Ya'll can have it - we got 7 inches with the first system before Christmas.

Had some coffee and have fed. Got the feeding done between checking DH's blood sugar. For some stupid reason my "follow" app isn't following his blood sugar this morning.

Had a rough night last night trying to get his sugar stabilized. Hardly any sleep for me. He sleeps - I monitor and adjust. Sigh...

Going for cup #3!

Does eating -- or not -- before bed help?
Unfortunately, no, because his blood glucose is running high. It's taking much more insulin to get him back within range than is "suggested" by his insulin delivery system. I've always been hesitant to go above the suggested amount - but not anymore. Can't let his numbers stay that high for that long.

Low sugars are much easier to deal with. Generally, a little snack fixes him right up. Foods that didn't previously have a huge impact on him are blowing him out of the water lately. For example - yesterday morning he had a cup of 1/2 decaf coffee. Shot him up 100 points without a bite of food. He's very reactive to stress and pain also. He's a conundrum, lol.

Ugh… I will need ALL the coffee later today. The switch to pump is like having an itty bitty baby again. Up till midnight, 3-4, and then again at 4:45.
