Good morning. Day two of three days paid leave, have to get back to work on Thursday.

Taking off next Monday, want to watch the pomp and ceremony from DC.

SUV is at the mechanic's, inspection, oil change, and replace the window motor.

Haircut appointment at 11!

Then drop off check with funeral home so I don't get charged $90 by the credit card company. I pay cash to my mechanic as well, he gives me a discount.

Then I will be spending the afternoon trying to contact Social Security and the life insurance companies. Wish me luck.

Cup 2 almost history. Winds picked up last night, but eased off. A few small fires started and were taken care of. My county is better prepared and has a far better infrastructure than LA. I can see tops of some trees starting to move again so it'll be a watch day.
FYI - and I just looked this up, San Diego county is 4,526 sq miles. Putting that into perspective larger than the combined states of Rhode Island and Delaware. Hmmm

I got a little colostrum in her. She’s not drinking much but is very alert. I think she’s a rejected twin. I can’t figure out who mom is. I’ve been surveying the south end of several ewes and dang no clues. Imma on the 3 hour bottle routine. Oh well at least I don’t have to go to my old off ranch job. The store manager used to ask me why I looked tired at birthing time. I’m lambing I told her. She asked is lambing a word? Yes no kidding :p

Pretty close to the size of this county, 3,793 square miles. We got more cows than people here.
Speaking of cows I got a laugh this morning. Going to town with wife in front of me with her Jeep (actual Jeep, not these glorified SUV's with a Jeep badge on them) and she came over a hill, slowed it down then really locked the brakes up slowing for a cow in the road instead of dropping gears and easing it slow on the ice.
That little Jeep did a nice 360° like a ballerina on ice, I couldn't help but chuckle. :gig
