Speaking of cold does anyone have any advice on space heaters? Hubbs built an 8x8 room in the garage. Bottle lamb is in there. I think she’ll need more warmth next week when we stay under 30 degrees for several days.
Your other option is a warming box.

Heating pad that can stay always on, in a cardboard box, covered by an easy wash acrylic/polyester/whatever blanket.

I got one of those "always on" heating pads when I brooded my chicks outside. Mine was a Sunbeam, bought it on Amaz0n. I got the biggest one available.

Like a brooding plate, but better.

Bring her in the house and put her in a dog crate. I use the people incontinant pads. A bag of size small depends and roll them up on top and secure with a clothes pin. Let her out to follow you around and let the fun begin.

I slept 10 hrs! Needed it after only 3 night before, with kids born cold & bringing inside to warm. No nap yesterday but, needed one. A not liked 18 out there right now, waaay below our norm. Bottled warming for 2 kids while I slurp coffee. Hot water toting for sure. Even with some heated tubs going, need more. Late day, I'll refill everything again. It's a PIA for these cold temps.

After chores, go pick up feed order I placed yesterday. Unload into storage tubs...all this sounds familiar to many. I'm amazed at what tortures we continually put ourselves thru for our farms. :old

Bottle lamb took a turn for the worse yesterday pm. Won’t nurse and lethargic. Also some scour. I bought a heater but haven’t used it yet. She has a light but she’s bedding down a reasonable distance from it. I remind myself that bottle lambs are rejected for a reason and it could be some fail I can’t do anything about. Frustrating however. The ram gang will be guests of honor at a family gathering this coming week. Moses has been guarding them and doing fine. He’s got to learn to be around lambs though.
