Was he paid to do it?

Just doesn't make logical sense to me.
Nothing in CA and especially LA makes sense. It's all about the "poor guy" and not the victims.
This one in particular was SEEN by people starting fires and this is the response from LAPD:
Despite multiple eyewitness seeing the suspect starting fires, the Los Angeles police announced Friday morning that their investigation had determined that there was not enough probable cause to make an arrest for arson.

“There was not enough probable cause to arrest this person on arson or suspicion of arson, and therefore, this person was arrested on a felony probation violation,” said Chief Choi.

Next time they might just SSS.

Even a Texan can have a breaking point. You have been repaired but not good as new. Sadly, like so many of our veterans, you are damaged and some of it could have been prevented,

Didn’t being a combat veteran do enough damage to you? You gotta go stick shrapnel in your eye?

You would feel right at home in Beaumont right about now. They got a bunch of snow and it’s gonna be 11 degrees tonight.
Last time I was in Beaumont when it snowed this is what happened. I'm afraid it would be worse if I went back.

Good Morning!

Awake at 2am, back to bed until 5. Snow had stopped, so I got dressed while coffee brewed.

Final snow total is just shy of 4 inches.

It's light and fluffy. And cold.

Looking good!

It's quiet in the coop, just a little tentative twittering...

"What the...?!?"

Very little snow in the hoop coop!

Southeastern exposure ⬆️

FYI: the roads don't get plowed here in eastern NC, so those of us who can drive in snow...don't. We stay home, and give first dibs to the maniacs who think an SUV or pickup truck makes them Robert Peary!

Thanks guys. It was a busy day. Made busier by moving the trailer load of hay pick up for today, into late yesterday -- thanks snow😳😖. It's daylight, white out but not "bad". Looking like maybe 1-2". It's a feel like of 10 😱🥶🥶🥶🥶🥶🥶. 11 yesterday. The winds are bitter. Hay racks were full at 10pm so, breakfast is there. I'll tote water & warm bottles in a few. Pretty much everyone is still laying out there cuddled up.

This is the worse winter in several years. Of course, more goats & kidding earlier 😵‍💫. What plans :idunno :hide. Time for coffee!! Lots of coffee today.

Let's all bundle up and roll on out there ..?..?

ETA...Weather news. Will be below freezing thru Fri morn. Warms into upper 30s Fri and --- ready? Sat-tues were back into 48-52 😳 our normal winter temps. Geesh. Roller coaster. So many experiencing same in lower USA states. No equipment to clear -- it's so unusual to have this. Enjoy.

Blizzard this morning, calling for 6 inches of snow with 40 mph winds. That translates to over half of foot of snow up here, about 2 inches at the bottom of the ridge and snow drifts from hell on the main that will stop "most" people.

Funny thing is we do have equipment to remove snow on the road up unlike our southern counterparts, but they can't. The blade to plow this road is actually parked on this road, the conundrum is they must drive a grader 20 miles through snow to attach the blade. :hu
Seriously, wouldn't you want to attach the blade before you try to drive through snow?
