Because politicians don't want to confront the growing homeless situations!!! It's everywhere. It's getting worse....many are homeless because they can't afford rent, may have no income, sometimes just hard times has caused this to happen AND sometimes not. A tightrope, for sure. Sad thing.
Many of them have mental health issues, too. They need help, but a cot isn't enough.

Coffee is ready! I woke up at 1AM, went back to sleep sometime after 2:30, woke up at 7:06.
It’s rained all week since Sunday. Not RAIN, just miserable drizzle. Week’s total is one inch. Took all week to get that much, but it made being outside for chores miserable.
Sunshine today so I’ve got to go wreck something for materials to build chicken hoop coop for the 75 meat chicks I’m picking up February 19. Need cowpanels. Will rob sheep pens, replace with sheep and goat wire.

Sprinkly before dawn, not much -- dampish stuff. But supposed to rain overnight, maybe 3/4". 🤷

Drinking coffee -- 3 bottles warming. At 1.5 gal a day now and all growing very well. Creep feeding and they love it. Funny, as my three run screaming for bottles, it's like a call for cookies🤣 I see several others run to mom for a nurse. Woohoo, eat.😍 Cute bouncers.

Ahhh, bottle, feed, meds to mare, then to job. Never know what I'll find in barn -- always hope better. She did walk with me to barn about midnight when I gave more meds, watered by syringe, etc. She was unstable yesterday morn to walk but, slow and moving last night plus drank a little on own and swallowed syringed water for me. Better, not good enough to eat. Nutridrench her, too. What will be, will be. :fl :fl she's 23.

I hope your mare recovers and is with you a long time. With the excellent care horses now receive, 23 is not that old, especially for a loved, spoiled, extremely well cared for mini mare. Give her a scratch on her withers and a hug from her Ain’t Baymule. Yeah, not aunt, in the country we slang it to ain’t.

Three inches of rain yesterday. Warmer weather may get the grass growing. I have a mess of a flowerbed to work on this spring. Bermuda grass has taken it over. I let it go because of my knee but it’s better so now so the chickens have come home to roo… wait a minute… I could keep older chicks in that area. They would destroy the bermuda, drop
some needed fertilizer and feeding and care would be handy. Then fussing around with perennials could wait till fall. Hmm. Beats digging up bermuda. Unless you’re Sophie
