Looks like I got canned for telling them I'm raising my rates 30% from $30 an hour to $39. Oh well, wasn't man enough to say it straight and do it over text late at night then they don't deserve me.
Lets see what other direction I can go...
Welllllll, any change to your benefit was probably going to do the same. Kinda thought that all along. Guessing with all the talent they have there that you will may be called in on occasion.

Wife said same thing, maybe I can drop down to 30 hours and I will be happy. Hell even 20 hours would be nice. I have grown beyond their control and it's angering them.

@Weldman he'll come around when the work comes in that he can't do or screws up & needs redo. $39 is cheap. Around here garages charge 90-110 per man hr, more for diesel! Most mechanics get 50%.

Sunny & warm today 😁
Not in this town, funny thing is there is another diesel shop in town hiring for same thing I'm doing that got posted 24 hours ago. Starting wage $20 to $30 an hour and they put this outfit to shame on tools/abilities.

Ditto on what @Mini Horses said... here most shops get $75 - $100 hr and mechanic gets 1/3 plus....
He//, one of my dairies is paying $14/hr for a milker.... girl is making over $500/wk.... totally way over what I ever made... and more than I make testing now even with my seniority years.... I figure I might average $20-25/hr but we get paid on cow# over and above a basic farm call..... due to the very different farms and time to milk etc....

It's finally getting deep here in snow and I hope for more. Went to close the birds in, seems like only 16 inches till you crunch through a crust of partially melted snow from when the temperatures went way up, then it's over your knees and 6' tall.

Cosmic reason for getting canned, so I can be home to rescue an elder lady in her late 70's that went off the road. UPS guy found her, went to someone down the road to tell them and then they jumped on FB for the local group asking for my help. Got her out once, got about 5 miles down the road and she disappeared. Yep went off into a ditch on a straight away buried 4' deep. This time I made sure she drove in front after getting her out, got to her driveway I went up first to push snow out and pack down what I could since it was very steep. I lead such an eccentric life while trying to be a homebody.
