Ugh, snow is cleaner. Need to get those wet tiles out of there and carefully see if water is getting on top of that light fixture. They aren't water proof and make an impressive noise when the ballast fries.
State owned building. Bureaucracy means maintenance worker will wander in at some point. The carpeting is soaked, puddled, so ideally everything should be removed from the room so the water can be vacuumed up. The filing cabinet is going to start rusting. But bureaucracy means they will hem and haw and move slowly while everything molds and rusts. They're going to build a new structure next to us, so why spend money on proper repairs?

Grey drizzly morning here. 41degrees. Walked the dogs on the lower pasture first thing. Found a get-out point Caddo was using and got it fixed. The lamb who lost his mom is doing ok, the rest look healthy and are working on kibble now. I need two feed buckets these days. The Racka lambs are doing well. Another couple of nights in the mid 20’s this week, then I hope winter is over.

I just wanted to say @Ridgetop is AMAZING! :love @KodeshAcres called me worried about her ewe Misty but I live 3.5hrs away. I contacted Ridgetop since she lives much closer. She dropped everything to go help out.
Yes she truly is amazing! Texas is the winner, California is the loser. I’m so glad they moved here!

I was in the barn @2:30am giving new doeling a bottle since her FF mom wasn't nursing her 😳
A bottle at 6:30 & the two worked it out while I was at work :celebrate however....the 3 bottle kids that got reduced from 3 to 2 bottles a day tackled me as I went out to feed tonight. That's almost 90# of squirming, moving bodies, bashing your legs and stumbling you :epwill make some changes this weekend -- limit their access, control the enthusiasm.

Of course, after being up & out at 2:30, there wasn't much sleep after. Got a power nap 5 to 6, when alarm went off. Bedtime will happen early tonight . I did work all day, home 5ish did chores. I had taken a sandwich for lunch & never stopped to eat, so that was "dinner while driving home"...:hu. It was raining lightly at 2:30, still a few sprinkles at 6 am. Just a wet, chilly day....glad I was inside at work

I’d call that a full day. Hope you sleep all night without the stupid wake up in the middle of the night. Get some rest!

I would have put this in the Moses thread but no results found after typing the proper title. Oh well. This afternoon Moses noticed coyotes stalking the flock on the lower pasture and charged down there faster than I thought he could go. Caddo was right behind him. I caught this because I was checking a gate and loitering to watch stuff. Good Boys! Good good boys! Not the same guarding styles as Smitty and Crockett but effective. I’m surrounded by heavy timber, doggos have to work.

Coffee is ready. Turned on the propane heater, it’s warming up. High of 59 and gonna rain today and tomorrow. I’ll do laundry, finally fold up and put away what’s left in the basket of clean clothes I’ve been living out of. Put away tools I’ve been using and clean house.
