Awake at 4, rolled over, slept, then awake just before 7. It's frosty outside, so I'm not doing any outside work yet, plus it's still pretty soggy.

I had a couple scrambled eggs and a biscuit with my morning ☕ and am now planning my day. I'll probably get my goggles after 9, when the stores open.

Misty and drizzly all day yesterday, actual rain this morning - just rain nothing down pour-ish and same forecast for tomorrow. Sheep are all in the barn staying warm and dry (spoiled sheep ;) ). Think it's a lot of coffee day, though I do have to take the puppy out to a training class in the afternoon.

OH and WHY isn't the Coffee thread showing up anymore on the "recent" list??? I have it set as "watch". No wonder I missed a lot.
Any ideas ????

I have several threads that never show up on my threads I follow. So I hit new posts to find them. It works for me.

I slept till 7, laid in bed and finally got up. Talked to my DD on her way to work, coffee is gone. I think I’ll just slip my Carharts over my sweatpants and sloppy big Tshirt. It’s cold, windy, wet from all the rain, I’m not movitated. I’ll go to town later, need to get some things and today is the 50’s ladies lunch at our favorite Mexican restaurant. So I guess I’ll suck it up and get dressed then. But not now.

I'll give that a try. Thanks! 🤞
EDIT
Well that didn't work , nothing shows up for the Coffee thread.
EDIT#2 -- I went into all the stuff in my profile every tab. Then in the ignore tab there was one -- I didn't even know we had an ignore tab 😶 - and I ~think I found the problem. Somehow Sourland was set to ignore. How the heck?? I certainly didn't do that! So I "unignored" and Coffee has returned. Still wondering how the heck that happened - new feature? I never go in the profile stuff, let alone "ignore". :idunno

I’ve never heard of chest butting as a herding technique.
I've seen that a lot in the non-eye breeds (not the border collies). Chest and also shoulder butt. Interesting to see, but even more so to understand. Of course in any competition you'll get hit for contact and lose points from most judges. There are sooo many different ways dogs work stock - mostly everyone is looking for the typical border collie style and have no clue about the other.

Leo came from a litter dumped in my old neighborhood. I got him at about 3 months when my neighbor couldn’t keep him. I never saw his litter mates. Rumor had it a roaming Catahoula may have been involved. He started showing interest in herding as he matured but the layout of the old place didn’t require much gathering or driving. Here it’s twice the acres, there are woods and a seasonal creek to cross and sometimes a stubborn flock won’t vacate the safe pen when I want to feed. So I put him to work. He enjoys it and it’s fun to find new things for him to do. At age 6 😯 he likes to learn. Below puppy Leo.

Finally rolled out of bed about 5:30am, "rolled" being the descriptive term! I did some activities yesterday that weren't difficult but must have used lazy muscles. It's eased out, and I am sipping coffee while last night's load of clothes is tumbling.

Making "To Do" list for the day. We may get another Arctic Blast on Thursday, so I think I will cover my newly-planted peas etc. with some plastic I have on hand.

I'm up, not excited about it -- slow wake but slept several hrs straight 👍 things will improve. It's rain again today & tomorrow. Looking at my areas "poss heavy snow" for Wed/Thur 😳 😖 no! Please, no! I'm on the dividing line of two predictions. So, rain, mix, snow. Do not need any of it!!!!! We're wet enough. But I also have 55 hrs of work scheduled 😜 that doesn't work if we get 6" of snow & our area becomes totally "disabled". Sooooo, I'm looking at just how much work I can get done between now & Tues -- in case I'm snowed in. Plus be sure there's hay & feed stocked for several days. It's gonna be cold, so even if rain there's freeze and icey roads. :he wish I could change channels & reprogram it.

Ahhh, well -- :hu. Same weather @fuzzi is saying.

Meanwhile, trying a flavored coffee I was gifted. Not impressed, wouldn't buy. It's good but flavor isn't prominent enough IMO -- almost just reg coffee. Hmm. Good enough to drink, just disappointing for expectation. Need to get chores done, then go to a long day of work 😉

I woke up at 3, went back to sleep until 6:30. It rained last night, judging by the puddles. I’ve got to take truck to town today and get cinder blocks so I can wrap coop in a tarp, and put the cinder blocks on it to hold it down. Going to be 17F Thursday morning. I pick up chicks Thursday but it will be 25 Thursday night. Rainy drizzle today, sunshine Sunday and Monday. I’ll get the coop ready except for feed.
