I've sent an inquiry to the rescues for each of these gals.

I think the bottom one has the sweetest face. Now to see if temperament matches.
Weight is important, too. I love big breeds, but don't want to get another 60lb dog. I struggled getting Cleo up the stairs, in the car.

Sometimes the rescue has "fenced backyard" as a requirement, and it's not there, yet.

The third dog is a hound cross, and I know of their wandering propensities. But she's with a rescue that I know, I know one of those involved with it. There's less BS with someone you know, and I have an automatic approval since I am known.

My opinion... I would first off, HAVE to go with poultry friendly.

No hound crosses with their potential to roam... and many are not chicken friendly... not necessarily to be mean, but just the chase thing...

Other than that I would have to go see if they were even a fit for me. But if you are working, then you need something that you can "trust" to some degree with the chickens, for starters.

I had a similar issue the last time I was looking, rescues not responding to queries. A simple yes/no answer to "is the dog still available?" should be fairly timely. With some rescues I never got a reply.

The first dog looks very good, but three days later no response to a text, an email, and an inquiry through the website.

The other two I just messaged today.

Regarding hound breeds, Cleo was definitely part hound. She never barked, just did a "woo woo" trill, but she loved everything, including chickens. I couldn't trust her to not take off if she slipped the leash, so I got her a collar in which my phone number was embedded.

Don't risk it. That's a they win when you take the risk no matter what happens.
Drone wars could be fun though -- get a cheapy and "fly with bumper car style"
You were onto something and didn't know it. Drones can track objects, one particular object that needs to be tracked is a drone harassing our animals and spying on us along with the operator operating it at the same time. Best way is catch the drone doing what it does, send mine up without them seeing it, hover over tracking theirs since I will have one way more advanced and longer battery life. When it leaves jump on the ATV following it and when it gets to its destination push RTH (return to home). Get them wrapped up with the Feds for harassment, unsafe operating a UAV, flying UAV without license and being unregistered with a UAV over .55 lbs with no RFID.
See I'm legal unlike them with a license and such credentials.

Well, here it comes...snow!😖

Computer models agree, we are getting it!!! How much depends on exact track but here -- saying 6-12". Track 60-75 North the 6. Track more southern, a foot -- 😳😖🤬 a foot will put my area "down" at least a week. No equipment to clear most roads, only main highways and that's slow, waiting for outsiders coming in to help 😂rescue.

Late wed until thu morn. Barely 30 & teen overnight :th

Two largest, deepest snows here in 25 yrs was late Feb. About 10 yrs apart...last was about 12ish yr ago. Can I just say ---- "oh, sh😣t". Feeding will be unreal.

Having coffee, biscuits, sausage & gravy 😋 needed a " mood lifter"
