Yesterday my before 4am wake up hindered me all day. I had a job to go to and it was slower than normal working, I was tired. Got home late, ate, had a glass of wine -- it makes me sleepy 😊 -- went to bed. I feel revived after 9 hrs of sleep!! 🙄 This ole body said rest me!! So, I did.

It's sunny. I'm not rushing out. Goats are still in fences  waiting for me. Ahhh, having another cup and starting to get into gear. Not full throttle yet. Prob won't do more than a couple small jobs today, after lunch. These heavy work months are tough and hopefully, over after this week. Looking that way 😄 👍

It was so much easier 20 yrs ago. :old:idunno:lol:
I'm wondering, what comes after our "prime"??🤔

They actually numbed his eye before each injection. All I know is that when I get something in my eye it hurts!
Yep... anything on the cornea hurts like blazes.

The shot definitely hurts.. but usually they numb it enough that it is just pressure and the mental horror of the clockwork orange eye lid holder and then seeing the needle :hide

Windy again today. Tin and plastic sheeting have to be resecured. I use those to shade my water bunks but I’m going to have to rethink that. It’s nice to be able to move water bunks and their covers. Something more stable would be permanent. No more walkabouts but caught Caddo trying to climb a fence in the low pasture. For an old dog he is jonesing to get out. Something in heat maybe? He’s fixed but still interested. Still working on a flowerbed full of Bermuda and wild blackberries. Part of it is clear and has climbing America roses and lavender freshly planted. Asparagus came up but only the Mary Washington so far. Watered all of that.
@Baymule steady as you go with the thistles. Ours dropped off dramatically this year. We’re lucky that our trash guy will take them at least for now.

Checking in from inside the classroom. Honestly couldn't tell you how the weather is outside, aside from that it's sunny. Wasn't crazy cold when I ran this morning thankfully.
At this point, I about live in the classroom. Glad I have some chicks here now, great friends when I need one.
Heading home for a few days on Friday, need to preg check and possibly vaccinate ewes. It'll be good to work outside for a few days.
Oh and I need to get signed up for summer travel, I mean marathon running.

I feed two feral/stray cats. This afternoon they didn't finish the food I put on their tray, so I gave it to my chickens.

The flock cleaned the tray completely!

This day in history 22 years ago we invaded Iraq, I was there watching the missiles in the night start flying overhead as we started pushing across the desert in what we knew as Operation Desert Eagle.
I’m glad you made it out of there and here with us now. Thank you for your service. ❤️
