Good Morning with espresso coffee! The thunder woke me up outside and had to check on the sheep around 2:30 a.m to make sure they went in their shed (with the little babies)! Stormy morning!:caf
Long story short, sheep are simply dumb but they always fall for food. I came in soaking wet!

I used to have a hundred chickens wandering in my 2 acre pasture. Eventually minks and coons kept attacking and I ended up selling a lot of what was left. I still have some barnyard mix, white leghorns, and dark cornish bantams I can work with. It was tragic.. But, "a coon can't kill a Katahdin", I'll say.

Sitting in an air bnb in Dundee OR. sipping tea and catching up here. Tis been a crazy month plus. Lots of little things piled up with twists mountains made up of moles hills —(or in my So Cal brain gopher hills 🤣). Up here with DH, DS and DDIL. Two days of Portland and OMG food (Will my ranch boots still fit when I get home 😵‍💫🤣)?!
In OR wine country tasting around at the small wineries. Spent time talking with the farmers - so good to do, no pun intended and very grounding. 😊
It’s given me time to catch up here some and with friends far away (my friend in Tasmania with LOTS of sheep). included.
All is well at home on the ranch. Our ranch sitter is the bestest - her first time sitting for us and dogs, aheep and chickens are great (texts and text photos rule 😊).
Heading home tomorrow. Rather than hit the ground running (my normal) I think I’ll try to hit the ground at a jog. 😉
PS - and Geeze so much rain moss all
over everything!

A strong squall of rains/wind blew thru last night. Haven't been outside to check amounts but 1/2 " was weatherman suggestion. Way more just a touch NE...I got lucky & the mass split up. More all week off and on 🤷 yeah, my week off work. 🙄🫤

Seed starting still on my list. Need it done. Need to buy a starter for the tractor. Need to vaccinate kids. Need to wean some. Needs keep adding up.
