A strong squall of rains/wind blew thru last night. Haven't been outside to check amounts but 1/2 " was weatherman suggestion. Way more just a touch NE...I got lucky & the mass split up. More all week off and on šŸ¤· yeah, my week off work. šŸ™„šŸ«¤

Seed starting still on my list. Need it done. Need to buy a starter for the tractor. Need to vaccinate kids. Need to wean some. Needs keep adding up.
You must have caught what hit me two nights ago. I got like 1 1/2 " but I think a little more North Louisiana they received around 4"! I already got my corn and potatoes planted a few weeks ago, they enjoyed the shower!

Sheep are out to graze. Moses on the far right, finally getting the idea to stick with the flock. Storms starting tonight and through the week. Peach tree number one has set fruit. Apple trees arenā€™t leafing out on schedule :(

I feel so stupid... I ran out of coffee yesterday and was too busy to get some more! No coffee for me this morning... :th

Need one, buy two. For me, itā€™s 20 miles to Lufkin, 30 miles to Crockett. I hope you have coffee this morning!

Hog hunters were out last night on the landlocked place north and west of me. The private road back there goes along my fence. Anatolians were going spastic, thereā€™s not supposed to be anybody back there, especially at night. They barked until the hunters came out and disappeared down the road.

@Mini Horses I feel your pain! Iā€™ve been busy processing chickens because that is a NOW thing that canā€™t be put off. I have a long list of things to do. In another week or two, Iā€™ll start on the second batch.

May I rant?

I'm SO ready to retire, and my employer is making it an easier decision for me.

Games, it's all about games.

I handle residents, my coworker handles faculty. My time is protected as part of our accreditation, I am not supposed to be doing other jobs. So, my coworker is sick, will be retiring soon. I'm being told that I need to "help out", "temporarily".

1. My time is dedicated to the training program
2. I don't know any part of faculty management

I work 10 hour days Monday through Thursday. They (bureaucrats in the main admin office) also have stated they want me here on Fridays to "cover". Cover what? Phones don't ring anymore, all phone calls are redirected automatically to the clinic or main admin numbers. So needing me answering the phone is a lie. Building is locked, no public access, so reception is not a need.

Control. It's just about control.

They've arranged a Teams meeting (I despise "Teams", another šŸ’© product from Microsoft) next week to "discuss" this. They have notified both my bosses (one is an actual physician, other oversees my time card, etc). My physician boss is my main boss, has said she doesn't understand why they are doing this, and supports my remaining on the four day schedule. She also has informed the administration that my time is protected, and they cannot start using me for other duties.

But they're still pushing, full speed ahead.

The coworker who is retiring said that when she was notified of the administration's plans replied "Why are you doing this? You're pushing her to retire sooner!"

She's right.

There's more, but that will do.

Thanks for "listening".

@fuzzi -- BTDT šŸ˜Š then not happy with no payck. After 50+ yrs of one, it's expected. So I found PT jobs that I could work adjusted hours, times, etc. Now I'm only "pushed" during a couple seasonal times of yr. Off this entire week. Consider options. šŸ‘

Another relaxing morning. Coffee is great being enjoyed this way, no rush to be leaving. Taking the week slow and pretending it's a "staycation". I've slept wonderfully 2 nights in a row :clap

Liking this but, things need to be done. No push. šŸ˜‚
