Coffee anyone ?

So harvest day is tomorrow -- I know there's a big thread on tanning, and it covers all sorts of animals.
General question - is it worth the time and effort? Give it try 'just because'? One of the lambs has a nice pelt - fuzzy/wooly for a hair sheep, and the other two are more hair.
Thoughts? Anything I need to do right away? Any supplies I should have on day 1??
Will head down the YouTube rabbit hole as soon as I can - but chores and other things call for now.

If you want it really nice, that I would say spend the big bucks and send it in. Ask the people who will prep it for you how they want the hide.

My kids experimented with all kinds of tanning, and the results were OK, but not professional. Their taxidermy weasel is great... but then again you don't sit and snuggle it... you just look at it.

We came in tonight to find out that the fiber on the machine was all there is to run. By 11pm we were done so my trainee got a lesson in all the intricate ins & outs of deep cleaning the weft system. We're taking another long break & I'm in NEED of coffee. I have no idea how to keep both of us busy from now until 7.

Having a cuppa before I head out to work. It'll be a long day in a store getting a total renovation. People & stuff everywhere! You work a section & try to block out the rest. Not fun ...3 days of it scheduled.

Cool & rainy yesterday. I canned fresh pork & rendered lard. Add to the pantry. Good day for inside.

On a more random thought: it's spring time everyone so make sure you reverse your battery cables so the AC comes on instead of the heat in your vehicles

A very chilly 33 here. Brrrrrr. My calendar says spring, my body says winter. Dress accordingly.

Working another store getting a renovation today. No heat. Doors open. Everything is everywhere. Not a good day for these temps. Supposedly mid 50 later.
