It’s 55F high if 84F today. I’m tired from chopping 25 acres of thistles Monday and driving to Corpus Christi Tuesday and back on Wednesday. It’s Thursday now and chicken slaughter is waiting. I took 65 pounds of leg quarters, skinless boneless breast, ground chicken, chicken pan sausage and a couple packages of buffalo wings to my DD’s family. I have paid for my plane ticket to Greece in September 2026 with chicken and feral hog meat. These were the free show chicken culls that I finished feeding out. I thanked my friend last night at church for her generosity. She was pleased.

Nice weather today. As everyone knows I live down 30 plus miles of dirt/rock road. Got to town and got pulled over by the local sheriff department, why, cause my license plate is too dirty can’t read it. Seriously this is for you ,,!,, asked if the rifle was loaded and I said, well duh it isn’t useful if it isn’t. While pulled over the local city PD joined in to give me a citation for public nuisance over my property in town, citing I was dumping schit on it. That’s arse backwards, I have been cleaning it up. Very pised this morning.

I went for a half mile stroll to collect Sophie who would have happily stayed in the pasture. If she didn’t kill sheep I would leave her. She was an abuse/neglect case and her start with sheep and goats was the worst possible so she learned to hate them. I never could rehab her and after the demise of the fourth sheep I gave it up. She will guard chickens faithfully and is a good yard dog and companion. Muddy dog in the mud room.

Sounds like the town has put you on their radar. :rant
Maybe your wonderful :\ neighbor lady or her toy has a friend in the city?

@Weldman That sucks! Keep embarrassing them in court I guess. I wonder if there is a newpaper in town or next over that would love a sob piece about “crazy town persecuting a (wounded?) veteran just trying to build his dream”. 😈🍿
I will give them a chance to redeem themselves in court, but if they push further is when I will lash out. I put two and two together. They came all the way out to my place yesterday to issue that citation, seen I wasn’t there according to the cameras so they put a BOLO out and I just so happen to pass a deputy in town at intersection. They seen who I was and used my mud covered license plate on the back as an excuse. That deputy was nervous as high school kid on prom night.
