I'm not sure how I came about this - probably something popping up on my feed about burying wool. I've know that people use it for mulch - but wow there is so much more. And for one who has that wool/hair mix that is basically worthless I think I'll be adding it into the shredded alfalfa stems the sheep won't eat. I only have like 3 sheep that need to be shorn (on the to-do list next week).
Here's the youtube link.... (it will open a new window with youtube)

Here for my like weekly checkin. Brought students to a conference all week. Didn't really sleep and got sick.
Got back yesterday and went straight to the rodeo in town, and ran there again this morning to see friends.
Starting my search for an adult job, man this is crazy.
Lambing starts any day at home, excited to lamb out the ewes for the first time.

The outside is DONE.

There are some inside "tweaks" remaining, but I could have put chickens in here this evening.

This is temporary, but will do, for now.

Boone woke me this morning disgruntled because he wanted cookies for breakfast. He booped until I finally acknowledged him, then began bringing me gifts. Anything in the house that isn’t nailed down is now stacked beside me. At least he doesn’t expect them for free and is willing to “work” for them.
Yesterday he carried in a frying pan!! 🫨
The frying pan made me bust out laughing.

My son in law was a teacher, got his Masters to be a principal and it took 2 years to find an assistant principal job. They moved from East Texas to Odessa, Texas, that’s West Texas where there’s not much going on but oil fields. My son is working in West Texas now, an hour from Odessa where the nearest grocery stores are and laundromat. Desolate. But that’s where my DD and family had to go to get him started.
So be prepared to go wherever it takes to get that first job. It will HAVE to be better than Odessa Texas. 🤪🤪🤪🤪🤪🤪

Coffee. Nectar of the sleepless. Had a great afternoon yesterday with friends. Got home right before dark to get animals fed. Annnnddddd my AC was blowing hot. It was 81F in the house. Can’t open windows because of tiny flea sized gnats that can go through the screens. I HATE those things! I called my son to gripe and he said just go to his house and sleep on the sofa. So I did, sorta. The sofa is a recliner sofa, not comfortable. Miserable. Woke up on a continuous schedule, finally gave up at 3 AM and came home. Still hot in here at 77F but it beats 81. I’ll be calling AC man this morning. And my truck is still parked in yard, sister in law now has a staph infection and barely getting around. Sure not up to hitching a gooseneck, loading truck and hauling it to the shop. Whine. Piss. Moan. And B!TCH.
But I have coffee! Out of cream, but I have coffee!

@fuzzi coop is great -- I know you're glad it's done.

@Baymule sorry about AC but better now than July 🤣 The truck down is a p.i.t.a. always is! Here, my tractor down is killer -- both use & ???bill.

Up at 4:30 but, mainly because I went to bed at 9pm. 🙄 Yeah only 3 hr sleep night before, so exhausted. Had been dragging all day. Coffee at 5 with you! Still feeling a touch groggy. No longer a fan of "early rise" times. :old Think I'll go pick up the tractor starter this morning, before the day gets demanding.

Have a list of things to do while off this week -- clean out truck, car, tack room, barn, clean oven, frig. Yeah, the odd stuff that's less "mandatory" than chores & meals. :caf:idunno Right now, coffee refill is my best idea.

Up at 4a to see Hubbs off to work. Either I’m sleeping more soundly or the dogs didn’t bark. Sunday Hubbs had a hose-mower moment that left water gushing out of the side of the house. Plumber arrived promptly, fixed faucet for a reasonable amount and gave us helpful advice about another issue. Having a stranger on the place reminded me of all the yard work I have yet to do. :p
