Anyone see the news article on TODAY ?... Missing child walked over 7 miles, lost, and a rancher's ANATOLIAN/PYR accompanied him for over 2 miles it seems... protecting him.... Rancher was driving down the road and saw the dog with the little blonde haired kid walking along a fence... Saw this article in CT forum...
Dog's name was Buford.... said he loved kids...

I saw that! Then I thought of “our” Boone and the chick he just rescued.

Didn't see that article but, in past similar things. One had a younger child lost in woods during cold and 2 his dogs stayed with & obviously laid next to for overnight warmth & protection. Many will actually "herd" them back into their yards, from wandering off. Dogs are intelligent.

Had a quiet night, thankfully, after a busy, tense, annoying day. Wasn't fun and I had some stern, unpleasant, my farm/my rules -- "come to Jesus" moments with DS & exGF...drama! I was undeniably clear and it's in writing. That situation is changing to my way.

Glad I have a few more days at home. Hope the winds stay away. That has been an issue for several days. Right now, a mug of great coffee

Went from mid sixties yesterday to we got over a foot of snow on the ground this morning.

Still blowing snow so we might get two feet or more

I predicted this might happen a few posts back. Ducklings didn't show up yesterday, maybe today?

Happens every April, poor ranchers out there schitting themselves saving calves about now. I might end up saving some, we will see.

I just checked the web camera in town, there isn't one inch of snow in town Crazy how I'm 40 plus miles from town an extra 1,000 feet in elevation and it's a whole different world.

Starting to snow here, I’m sure it will be peak level dumping about the time I need to leave to drive to Denver to do some family stuff.
For the record- was up at 4:30, had a half drunk Red Bull on my dresser that I gave in and finished, then went for an 8 mile run, and now ready for the day. Looks nasty out, wildly it was nice yesterday.
