SPRING POUTRY SWAP

Just a note to everyone on here... Semi annual POULTRY SWAP... coming this Sat May3rd... Gilmanor Farm Chewning Rd... Glen Allen VA.... you can pull it up on the internet...it is always the first Sat in May and 3rd Sat in Sept....
Have been meeting @Mini Horses several years and now @canesisters has come and coming back... ANYONE in the area, it is HUGE... used to be mostly all poultry and small farm animals... NOW it is a HUGE "Flea market" type thing with mostly anything you want to see... lots of flowers/plants, chicks galore, you name it, it is probably there... food vendors... EXPENSIVE... but it is a treat to splurge sometimes...

We walk and talk and walk and talk.... til we get too tired .....

If anyone is in the area and wants to try to meet up.... we try to meet at the main feed barn on farm ... he has a feed and grain sale business........ "around 8".... BUT send a PM with your number to me or mini and then we can make sure we meet up... you could always come later... it runs 8-4 but there are tons that set up on Friday and the place is packed by 7 a.m. Usually all the "good stuff" goes fast. Questions??? ASK....

Nice way to get to meet fellow BYH members and if you hate us... you can go off on your own......

No, it's 2+ hrs from me... about the same I think for @Mini Horses ... don't know for @canesisters ... pm them to find out more from that side of the state .... we all drive to and from... Usually get done 1-2 pm because we are wiped out, so get home well before dark... It's about the same drive for @Mini Horses as for me I think....guess you could come the night before and stay... don't have much knowledge about stuff over that side of the state, but there is "google".... ask them more info...

3 hours ain’t that bad, stay over that night and go home next morning. You should go, you would have fun and get to meet other BYH’ers!

It's funny, I am good with a longish drive 8-10 hours, but it needs to be one drive. Splitting it into 4 hours one way, then back another 4 hours wears me out worse.

I'm considering it.

Ahhh yes, day at home. Breakfast at 4:30, 2 loads of clothes washed & going on lines soon. Dishwasher going. My "today" list is primarily inside...but, no doubt I'll be outside part of day. Got yard mowed yesterday Rested mostly, since I'd worked full days Mon-Sat. Deserved that little nap that happened, too

Two inches of rain fell throughout the night and still raining, high winds above 50 mph, usual day here. Good thing I didn't wash my truck, better stick it in 4WD to get to town.
