Hello everyone! I am a very new bunny owner, and I was curious what color my bunny was considered. I have had bunnies before, but it was when I was little, and we weren't into knowing all about them. We had Mini Rex's back then. But now I have just bought a Mini Lop X Flemish. I love learning about how genetics work and what different colors can com from what (I have mostly studied horses) colors. So without further ado, this is Lily:

And her belly is white....

Thanks!

Fawn.

I'm not familiar with horse genetics so I'm not sure if there's a "corresponding" color, but picture a wild rabbit. That's the "default" rabbit color. Fawn is only one step away in that a gene called non-extension prevents the black pigment from showing up, letting only the yellow show.

Oh! OK... Cool! So kind of like Buckskin on a horse, but Palomino, because the black can't show! Thank you!! Also, I realized last night that it is a boy (I think) LOL... That means that she can't be "Lily" anymore! LOL
