I was born and raised in the Puyallup area. :) We've talked about moving to Eastern Washington some day, maybe when we retire! My brother and his wife (and my baby niece) still live in Milton. After enjoying day after day of beautiful sunshine you couldn't pay me to live on the Western side of the mountains again.:p
My husband grew up in the Milton/Edgewood area and graduated from Puyallup High School.

We love it where we're at now. :love We have four very distinct seasons, very little rain (though it's raining right now, go figure) and views of the Columbia river from our deck. We visit family in Puyallup often but it's just way too busy (and Wet!) on that side for my liking anymore.

It's a GREAT place to retire to.

My sister lives in Colbert, WA (just a bit north of Spokane) on 5 acres with chickens, a pig and my 3 fabulous little neices.
I have two sisters in Spokane (and 2 neices & 2 newphews between the two of them) but they're both city gals - no livestock (though one of them called me yesterday to tell me they were getting a lizzard.) They think what I'm doing is *neat* but they also think I'm a bit off my rocker too.

Quite a few of us in Washington :) I grew up in Federal Way, my hubby in Renton, and we now live up by Bellingham. We get TONS of rain, but the hiking is amazing. I do love eastern washington though....Cle Elum area is so pretty, but I love the Palouse region too.
