I have a few girls I wanted to give copper. Does anyone know if it is safe to give it if the doe is already bred? What about those I am getting ready to breed?
Is there a hold off time.

None of my 3 vets know.

We give copper to our does tight before breeding. Copper deficiency can be a big cause of fertility issues. Giving it to them right before breeding helps our fertility rate. I absolutely recommend it.

I have given it to pregnant does too, no problems. At least none I know of.

Thanks @jodief100
I was trying to give the girls copper a month before but could never get any answers.

We are not really copper deficient here but we have iron issues so it can be real tricky when it comes to copper. There were a few girls we didn't give any to last year so we wanted to this year.

I give it right around breeding time and during pregnancy as well. I use the copasure rods...this year I have given it 3 times and my animals look better about 3 weeks later every time...
