dehorning /paste?

Has anyone ever used that dehorning paste?
What were your results?
issues? pros and cons?
Which product did you use?
any other techniques I could do?products ect. besides an iron?
*my little doe is a month old with about 1/4" buds

If they are 1/4 inch buds use the iron. Many of our Nigerian does don't get disbudded til 3 weeks- 1 month. We have had several that the tips are grown up.
It is still the safest method although unpleasant.
Use cold packs and spray on lidocaine. Cold packs between burns.
As soon as your done put with the dam immediately for nursing or if you bottle feed have the bottle ready.

NEVER use paste on goats and goat kids would be disasterous.

Thank you, yes I know how to disbud with the iron , just was seeing if there was another way /option.I am 10 hours from my family farm now , soo I don't have an iron to borrow(and there are few goat ppl around here)was hoping to hear good things about another method....but i just spent the last half hour reading horror stories on here about the paste hahaha sooo.....no. I wont be doing that.
guess ill start shopping for an iron, or looking for someone in my area who will do it/has one.
