Deworming pigs

When & how often do you worm pigs? Do you only do it if you see symptoms? If so what symptoms? Thanks.

We are looking for a good dewormer for our 2 pigs -- most of the things we've found are injectable... and none of us (the 3 grown-up girls in the house) have the guts to do an injection.

Two questions:
1. Are these breeders or feeders?
2. What age are they?

Here on the farm we use injectable Dectomax at 8 weeks old when we wean. Very very rarely do we ever worm that pig again unless we physically see a problem. Are you seeing worms? If they are feeders then I would be very careful what you worm them with before slaughtering - you do not want that in your meat!
