Add pressure and they leak. Happens every time I squish a bottle while installing it.Very cool system with the water. Maybe they'll figure out drinking without having it pour out quite so much. What about the waterer spouts that have a bllberring (for lack of a better word) inside the drinking tube? Though guessing you've tried that or it brings other issues.
Is it easier to do the pelts as a sleeve or opened? Would they work up the same?
I have used nipple waterers connected to a 6 gal bucket for as long as I can remember. Enough head pressure from 6 gal to feed to 6 dif. nipples without running the line downhill, total hutch length, 13 ft. I also flesh all my hides while fresh, tricky to get started but the trick is to start by the tail. Now that I've made two huge feeders, I thought trying out the water nipples was the next thing to do!
Waiting on a few packages to arrive today to set up the automatic watering system.
I'm hoping it doesn't drip as bad as the bottles do. Might switch the cages to the same system, if this works out well.
While waiting...
Got 4 in the freezer. Two from last week & 2 from the growout pen that just had to go.
Tried fleshing while fresh. One was easy. Rest impossible. Tried scraping, nope. IDK HTF others do it!
Grumpy stomped her kits while I was out there, so blocked the nest off & when I was done, moved the hole & kits further over. She's just getting worse. Was attacking the barrier.

And then the parts arrived.
So, it doesn't leak at the nipples when not in use. But pours while the argue with it. Maybe they'll learn to chill.

I do mine opened while still fresh. Is it easier to do the pelts as a sleeve or opened? Would they work up the same?
