I also dug up this other cage. Using it for travel/temp caging.

And I'm wanting to do nest boxes very differently than most do this time around. Instead of boxes going in, I'll have ones that hook to the door & have a hinge to check on kits.

I'm headed out to pickup several stackers today. They will be joined together to make 4×2ft cages. The removed panels will make new cages, I just need to buy floor wire.

And here are the numbers for 4 of the freezer rabbits. The last two I'll add when I finish them tomorrow.

Two of the bones, spine & ribs, weighs 1.5#.
Four meats + legs, weighs 7# 9oz.
10# 8oz of waste in all; hide, guts, head, feet, tail, organs & the spine+ribs.
18# 1oz of rabbits turned into 7# 9oz of food. IDK what that is in percentage.

Store rabbit, 2.5# on bones, $32. $12.8 per pound.
Live rabbits, 7# 9oz mostly just meat, $30. $3.79 per pound.

Pic of the two done this morning.

Really love the nest boxes! Wish our set-up could accommodate that!

Penny & Opal, failures. Rebred.
Chick, Jet's daughter, had her kits! Made hole larger, but didn't count. Too busy trying to get them water. Sire is Guilded.

6 more bags ready to move to driveway. Just 4 more to fill before pickup. Seems to be a bit slower now, because of the cold and less kits to produce it all.
Gotta contact the guy to find out how much meat, if any, he wants. Then time their butcher with pickup of poo, too.
1 rew, 1 broken. Gotta decide on the 4 Malty kits if one is staying. So, about 5 to butcher. I don't think any will be to size in two weeks from the Quincy & Coral litters.

Tractor sent out to be fixed. Returned "fixed". Tire fell off again.
Yeah, my life in a nutshell...

If tire has come off rim like that before then there is something wrong with the bead on the rim. Had that on one of the front tractor tires... and the rubber tire was not seating on the rim properly and any stress... bumpy road, turning just so, it would come off the rim. Total PITA.....

Dealer saw my post on FB and showed up today. Took the tire & rim, came back a bit later. This time, they actually looked into it and found 3 "wild thorns" in it causing the leaks. I quote bc this info is from DH and not dealer directly to me.
How does just one tire get full of autumn olive thorns and not the rest? Idk. I mean, I've seen them in the rear tires, but those are too thick to be an issue.
Anyway, we'll see in the next few days, how the repair holds up. Gotta move a round bale and get the rear blade to maybe better shovel 800ft of snow.
🤞

Yeah, weird that the thorns only in the one tire... but glad they at least addressed it for you. Better than the rim having a problem.... Hoping for your sake it solves the problem... this is crappy weather to be without a tractor that you feed with...
