I milk in the morning then let her babies have her all day. So it's about a 12 hour split.
For her feed, she gets Purina Goat Chow, FastTrack probiotic, alfalfa pellets, and a small handful of Golden Grow - much like Calf Manna (to bump up the protein and I've seen an increase in our other doe's production and even better tasting milk since starting on the golden grow) in her feed tub in the morning while I milk. In the evening she just gets the goat chow. They also have Orchard grass free choice 24/7 and I throw a flake of alfalfa about every other day. I change out their water everyday, plus they have 3 different buckets to drink from and if it is below about 35* they get warm water from the house (they are not spoiled at all! lol). Free choice minerals and baking soda available 24/7.
I've noticed that her doelings are satisfied after eating after I milk. I'm wondering if she is holding back quite a bit more than I expected.
