6. I didn't know that there are non-bantam Silkies.
They are not recognized by the American Poultry Assoc. I do believe there are both large fowl and bantam sizes in Europe.

And Brahma's are NOT known for their winter laying... at least not in any of the ones I have known in 50 plus years. Leghorns are better winter layers if they have lights but not docile overall... ... as most all chickens are... New Hampshires lay good in the winter as do most of the american class breeds... Plymouth rocks, R I Reds, etc...

I didn’t do as well. I like chickens but never seem to have a steady population. Presently have one rooster and one hen only because they went awol in the woods after something started picking off the flock After Smitty and Crockett died. Hennie kept us in eggs thru early summer but I think she’s past her prime. That’s ok because she and Cogburn eat bugs. I’ve had too much coffee….

My hens have begun molting....maybe she has, too.

Here, the chickens do so much more for me than laying eggs! Which I eat few of....so much gifting of those. With molt, Im down to 3-5 a day, not 10. Good!!! These new birds will keep me, family & friends, in eggs all winter. Come spring way over egged.

I got seven right. I just about grew up with chickens and these facts were just in the back of my head, lol!

I didn't know much about those expensive breeds on #3. I just kinda guessed.

I had no experience with ducks on #8. I just kinda guessed.

I can argue about the options with geese on #10. Chinese do keep weed control down, but Africans do to. We used to have a lot and I would watch them pull up the iron weeds and then go swim. So yeah, I said Africans on that one but if I want to be fair, I won't count that as a point.

7/10
