Alright.

A friend of mine just told me that if you disbud your goats, their meat and milk is less gamey. I find this difficult to believe.

True? False?

I will say goats milk really does vary from goat to goat. Dairy does that have an intact buck in with them all the time... don't know why but the milk taste like a buck in rut. :sick :sick yep that gets a double yuck.

Your lil doe that you love is identical to my "mc Flurry" buckling... he is a lovesponge... he will be kept intact as he is polled and blue eyed.
They could be twins!

oh and because your soon to be DH loves you so much .... he will be happy that you knew you just needed a LGD.... and if that isn't enough... once he looks in those soulfull pyr eyes it will be love at first sight. ;)

I prefer m pyrs and f anatolians.
F pyrs can be scary... much more aggressive. Male pyrs pretty laid back but can put it "on" when it's time.

I prefer male animals anyway so I will be getting a male Pyr.

I haven't seen your Mc Flurry, I will have to do some snooping now :D

I've never heard of anything like that. We ate a wether last week that was disbudded...He was delicious, tender and mild.

Maybe they were talking about the scent glands right behind the horns? You can burn that on a buckling to stop the scent gland but I'm not sure if that would affect milk/meat though. :idunno
