We has 115acres so that explains all those ewes! Congrats about the good birth and I hope all your others ones will be stress free as well!:weee
I love the moment when the lambs discover they have legs and use them to bounce and around and play at only a couple of days old!
my fav ram died from tetnaus so we only have one now. A poddy is a bottle fed lamb!
How cute! Poddy! I have only heard them referred to as "bottle babies", but I like poddy better :). So sorry about your ram :(. I have been so fortunate with all of my animals over the years, knock on wood... OMG! I check on mama and baby, and all of the animals, really, several times a day, but LOVE evening when baby is feeling frisky...I had NO IDEA how stinking CUTE baby lambs are! He kicks up his heals...runs up on a boulder and throws on the brakes when he realizes there's quite a drop on the other side...bounces like a deer...ugh...sooooo cute! I breed dogs, and LOVE LOVE LOVE playing with my puppies...socializing them, teaching them manners...life is good :) We are going to buy 3 more ewe lambs this weekend (4 months old)...will bring our total to 4 ewe lambs, 2 ewes, 1 ram lamb, and 1 8 month old ram. Think we will be done buying :) Thank you so much for your replies...really loving meeting people on here!
