I can draw a straight line, with a ruler IF my pencil is sharp and I hold my mouth just right.

Thats about all that I can draw.

Wonderful drawings and painting folks! You are all very talented!
You are truly a piece of work. Thanks for the chuckle.

WOWY Little One. That is awesome Your blending is great! Do you use something particular to blend with? I love my blending stumps, but use anything I have available that will work out.
I use the blending stumps for small space I want to shade- such as the mouth, eyes, nose. Mostly, though, I just use plain facial tissue. I hold it kind of wrapped around my pointer finger tip and blend with the contours of the object I'm drawing. Its perfect for a large surface area where you want smooth, even shading. (such as the skin on the Marilyn drawing) Then I would usually use a kneaded eraser to gently dab up the excess shading to put in highlights.

Also, DKRabbitry, that's some great art you shared!! :)

Thank you all for your nice comments. People think it is funny when I tell them I learned how to draw from tracing :) I was the kid who would get How-To-Draw books and just trace everything I could from them. I still really need to work from a photo to get it to really turn out right. Never actually got the hand of taking what is in my mind and putting it on paper.

I would simply perish without kneaded eraser! It is a must have for any art bag/box/drawer/etc.

Thanks all. Same here DKRabbitry  . I was home schooled so I didn't have any art classes or schooling on drawing (my mom was my teacher and she didn't really draw). What did help me alot with drawing was a book my mother got me in my last year of home schooling. The book is called : How Great Thou ART, by Barry Stebbing. It helped me out alot on shading which I really needed :) .
