We did pretty good at the fair this year. We won grand champion chicken and reserve champion rabbit. I'm so proud of my boy. His babies won reserve meat rabbit, first in Sr buck, second in Sr doe and the old boy himself impressed the judge by allowing one my SPED kids from school to show him.

I'm proud of my girls too. They did a wonderful job showing their animals. My youngest won first in showmanship for rabbits. The judge said it sounded like she swallowed the ARBA book.

Its amazing what kids will read when they are trying to get out of cleaning their rooms. She told my husband that it was for homework. I guess she was right after all. After we process some rabbits we will have room for a new doe. Do you think you'll have any in a few months?

Hahaha, yep, anything but chores, but how great is that when kids devour the ARBA book! :thumbsup

I should have some around that time. Every few months some of my family travels that way to pick up horses. If it works out if need be it'd be no problem for a doe to hitch a ride with them.

YAY! I love fair shows! Due to the fact that we dont have a big 4-H program here, we have no showmanship or anything. :(

Showman ship is required here for all the kids showing rabbits. It's optional for the large animals.
